Chair: Mary Wellman
The Outreach Committee coordinates and plans helping in our parish, our community, and the world.
The ministry of Eucharistic Visitors is part of this work. Eucharistic Visitors take the Blessed Sacrament to people who are unable to receive in person, such as those who are in hospital, nursing home, homebound, or immuno-compromised. If you or someone you know would like receive the Blessed Sacrament at home or while they are in care, please contact the parish office or parish priest.
Outreach projects include:
- locally (Adopt-a-Street, John 3:16, CARE, Hannah's Place, Union Mission)
- globally (relief for the Diocese of Haiti or work in Ukraine or Sudan through Episcopal Relief & Development)
- pastorally (helping members following trauma, surgery, or other impactful life events)
- provisionally (assistance with community referrals, food need, and living, as the parish is able)
The committee meets once per month on second Mondays at 1:00 PM on Zoom.
Assistance from all people, especially parishioners, is needed to:
- assist in litter patrol for Adopt-a-Street and community projects
- donations for local, national, and international agencies
- pastoral care, including: help with household chores, meal deliveries, and projects
- involvement in community volunteer opportunities commended by our parish
