Outreach

Chair: Mary Wellman

All Saints’ members are dedicated to the belief that Christians serve Jesus by serving those in need in our broken world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. – Matthew 25:35-36

Past projects include support for Room in the Inn, donations to Food for the Poor, volunteer support at Angel’s Closet, gathering supplies for the Shower Ministry, collection of school materials for area children, providing community breakfasts, building a house in Honduras, supplying Angel Tree gifts to the children of incarcerated parents at Christmas, support of Backpack Buddies, partnership with the Bethlehem Food Pantry, and preparing lunches and donating a ceiling fan for the John 3:16 camp on Lake Gaston.

Current projects include leadership in becoming an anti-racist church, collection of toys and clothing for the John 3:16 Christmas drive, donation to Food for the Poor, collection of PPE for libraries in the Halifax County Public Schools, and congregational support for DOK efforts such as the Little Pantry.

Following the upgrade of internet access in our buildings, we hope to partner with the local schools to assist those students who lack such access in their homes.

Join with us in our outreach efforts both in the local community and farther afield.
