Junior Warden: Tony Fleming
The ministry of Buildings and Grounds is to maintain and enhance the properties of All Saints. Our buildings and grounds are a symbol to our community that we are present and proclaiming the Good News. Accomplishing this work is a ministry for All Saints and for our community of Roanoke Rapids and Halifax County.
The Junior Warden is a vestry (parish council) member designated to lead this work.
The committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and completing the care of the buildings and grounds, including the Dunn Garden and Columbarium.
All Saints's Properties include:
- 700 Roanoke Avenue | the historic church building, designed by Hobart Upjohn (architect of Roanoke Rapids High School)
- 9 East 7th Street | the parish house built in 1947
- 635 Hamilton Street | the parish office, formerly the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District Office
Members of this committee typically meet once per month to tour the buildings and grounds and list repairs and handle noted concerns.
Everyone is welcome to help the work of maintaining the historic properties and gardens by volunteering their time:
- for called work days for specific tasks
- to pick up pine cones, limbs, and litter on a routine basis
- for routine garden maintenance and chores to keep our plants and landscape thriving
- for maintenance that you are skilled to accomplish over time in communication with the Junior Warden
